Conductivity Meters & Online EC Sensors

Electrical conductivity (EC) indicates total dissolved ions. It is used to track salinity, RO performance, boiler and cooling-water cycles, and effluent quality.

LimitSANS 241: ≤ 170 mS/m at 25 °C (aesthetic).
Measurement options

Laboratory, portable and online Conductivity measurement

Laboratory

Benchtop meters with 2- or 4-electrode cells covering pure water through to brine.

Portable & field

Handheld meters with automatic temperature compensation and TDS and salinity readouts.

Online & process

Contacting and inductive (toroidal) conductivity sensors for clean water through to high-fouling process streams.

Common questions

What is the difference between mS/m and µS/cm?

1 mS/m equals 10 µS/cm. SANS 241 reports in mS/m, while many meters default to µS/cm.

Which sensor suits dirty or high-conductivity water?

Inductive (toroidal) sensors have no electrodes in contact with the sample, so they resist fouling and handle high conductivity better than contacting cells.
